A gas bottle belongs with every fire pit, yet it is exactly what can spoil the look of the whole terrace. This cover hides it inside a square GFRC concrete body with a Light Grey travertine finish – the same as the light grey ELEMENTI fire pits. And on top you gain a spot for a glass, a book or a vase.

A designer cover hides the bottle

Picture a summer evening: the fire is burning, the table is laid and nothing catches the eye in the wrong way. No orange bottle, no hose lying across the paving. Simply place the cover over the bottle and lead the hose out through the cut-outs along the bottom edge – they also ventilate the space around the bottle. With ELEMENTI tables the hose can even run through the hollow inside of the table, so it is barely visible.

Place the cover about 1.2 metres from the fire pit; the standard 3-metre hose is long enough, and we can supply a longer one on request. A technical necessity becomes another piece of garden furniture that matches your fire pit.

A much-loved finish

The surface carries the imprint of natural travertine – with small pores and a subtle pattern that stands out in the sun and softens by the fire in the evening. Each piece is cast by hand in a mould, so the pattern varies slightly and no two covers are exactly alike.

The Light Grey tone is matched to the light grey ELEMENTI fire pits, so next to them the cover does not look like an extra, but like part of one set. It feels as cool and solid as stone, even though it is concrete.

Concrete that can take a lot

The body is glass-fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC). The fibres give it strength, so the walls can be thinner and the cover lighter than it would be in ordinary concrete – yet it still weighs 21.6 kg and the wind will not knock it over. The material withstands frost, rain and UV light, so the cover can stay outside all year.

The cover is a single piece without a lid: to change the bottle, simply lift it off and set it aside. To help the surface resist stains for longer, treat it with AKEMI Nano Effect.
