Picture that evening. The sun has slipped below the horizon, there is something good in your glass and your favourite people around the table. Nobody wants to go inside — and for once, nobody has to. In the middle of the table burns a fire you lit with a single press, and one you put out just as easily when it is time for bed.

SOFIA is a square gas fire pit table, 100 × 100 × 43 cm, with a round 16 kW burner; its steel frame is clad in porcelain with a black marble décor.

The charm of black marble, paired with fire

SOFIA is a 100 × 100 cm square in a black marble décor. At a square table everyone sits equally close to the fire, and the round 16 kW burner warms everyone around it.

Porcelain cladding with white veining covers the top and the sides, carried by a steel frame. When the fire is off, you put on the lid in the same décor, which comes in the box, and have a seamless marble surface.

Porcelain on a steel frame

The table is clad in porcelain with a black marble décor — on top and on the sides. Porcelain resists scratches, heat and UV light, so the marble pattern stays crisp even after years in the sun.

The cladding sits on a steel frame that keeps the table solid and stable.

Press and sit down

Ignition is electronic: press the button and within seconds the round burner is alight.

You adjust the flame height smoothly with the knob, from a quiet flicker to a full blaze. At full power a 10–11 kg bottle lasts about 9–10 hours.

Safety is handled by a flame failure device — if the fire goes out, the gas supply is cut off.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit on my terrace or balcony?

Leave about 1.2 metres of free space around the table from walls and anything flammable, and place the bottle just as far away.

Which bottle do I need and how long does it last?

A standard propane or propane-butane bottle, usually 10 or 11 kg. At full power it burns for roughly 9–10 hours, much longer with a gentler flame.

Can I connect it myself?

Yes. Screw the supplied hose and regulator onto the bottle and you are ready to light it. You only need a gas fitter to convert it to natural gas.

What if the wind picks up?

If the wind blows the flame out, a safety device shuts off the gas supply by itself. For windy terraces we recommend the glass wind guard.

Can it stay outside in winter?

Yes. Porcelain handles frost, rain and sun without any trouble. When you are not using the table, put the supplied cover over it.

Can I grill on it?

No. The fire pit is made for warmth and atmosphere — for food, stick to the grill.

Is the fire pit lid included?

Yes. The lid is made of the same porcelain as the top and comes in the box. When the fire is off, it covers the fire pit and gives you a seamless surface.

Do you have natural gas at home?

Then SOFIA has one more option for you. It can be converted from a bottle to your household gas line, and from then on fire is a single movement — turn the knob. No carrying bottles from the petrol station, no running out halfway through the evening.

The conversion is done by a gas fitter — or we do it before shipping and the table arrives ready to connect. Then all you do is turn the knob whenever you feel like a fire.
