Picture that evening. The sun has slipped below the horizon, there is something good in your glass and your favourite people all around. Nobody wants to go inside — and for once, nobody has to. In the middle burns a fire you lit with a single press, and one you put out just as easily when it is time for bed.

COLUMBIA is a hexagonal gas fire pit with a rock design, 106 × 106 × 40 cm, with a round 13.2 kW burner and a GFRC concrete body with a stone texture.

You won't believe it isn't rock

COLUMBIA looks like a piece of rock with fire rising from it. Its hexagonal shape and rugged stone texture recall a campfire beside a rock somewhere in the wild — only without the smoke and the firewood.

It brings raw nature into the garden, yet you light it with a single press. The whole group settles comfortably around its six sides, and everyone is equally close to the flame.

Warmth for everyone

The 13.2 kW burner warms the hands and faces of everyone around it, not just whoever sits closest.

More evenings a year

Spring starts earlier and autumn ends later; you get months more out of your terrace.

Just press a button

The fire is up in a few seconds, and you put it out just as quickly.

Looks like rock, weighs far less

Behind a surface that looks like solid stone is GFRC: concrete that gets its strength from glass fibres. That makes the fire pit far lighter than real rock while standing up to more.

Sun, frost and rain won't harm it — several seasons from now it will look just as it does today. How GFRC differs from ordinary concrete

Press and sit down

Ignition is electronic: press the button and within seconds the round burner is alight.

You adjust the flame height smoothly with the knob, from a quiet flicker to a full blaze. At full power a 10–11 kg bottle lasts about 10–11 hours.

Safety is handled by a flame failure device — if the fire goes out, the gas supply is cut off.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit on my terrace or balcony?

Leave about 1.2 metres of free space around the fire pit from walls and anything flammable, and place the bottle just as far away.

Which bottle do I need and how long does it last?

A standard propane or propane-butane bottle, usually 10 or 11 kg. At full power it burns for roughly 10–11 hours, much longer with a gentler flame.

Can I connect it myself?

Yes. Screw the supplied hose and regulator onto the bottle and you are ready to light it. You only need a gas fitter to convert it to natural gas.

What if the wind picks up?

If the wind blows the flame out, a safety device shuts off the gas supply by itself. For windy terraces we recommend the glass wind guard.

Can it stay outside in winter?

Yes, the material withstands frost. When you are not using the fire pit, put the supplied cover over it.

Can I grill on it?

No. The fire pit is made for warmth and atmosphere — for food, stick to the grill.

How to start the fire pit

ELEMENTI — how the fire pit works and how to start it

Do you have natural gas at home?

Then COLUMBIA has one more option for you. It can be converted from a bottle to your household gas line, and from then on fire is a single movement — turn the knob. No carrying bottles from the petrol station, no running out halfway through the evening.

And what does it cost? We did the maths: What an evening by the fire costs

The conversion is done by a gas fitter — or we do it before shipping and the fire pit arrives ready to connect. Then all you do is turn the knob whenever you feel like a fire.
