Picture that evening. The sun has slipped below the horizon, there is something good in your glass and your favourite people all around. Nobody wants to go inside — and for once, nobody has to. In the middle burns a fire you lit with a single press, and one you put out just as easily when it is time for bed.

POMPEI POT is a gas fire pit shaped like an antique vase, Ø 59 × 66 cm, with a round 11.7 kW burner, a GFRC concrete body with a stone texture and room for the bottle right inside.

A stylish antique vase

POMPEI POT is neither a table nor a low fire pit. It is a sculpture shaped like an antique vase that draws the eye at once — by the front door, in a corner of the terrace or by the pool.

The body of the vase also hides the gas bottle. From the outside you see only stone and the fire burning right out of its neck.

The look of old stone, the strength of today

The surface, in a dark earthy tone, has a texture reminiscent of ancient stone. Underneath is GFRC — concrete reinforced with glass fibres.

Press and sit down

Ignition is electronic: press the button and within seconds the round burner is alight.

Turn it down to a gentle flicker with the knob, or up to full when the evening gets cooler. An 8 kg bottle inside lasts roughly 9–10 hours at full power — and several evenings with a gentler flame.

Safety is handled by a flame failure device — if the fire goes out, the gas supply is cut off.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit on my terrace or balcony?

The fire pit is 59 cm across and 66 cm high; leave about 1.2 metres of free space around it from walls and anything flammable. The bottle goes inside, so nothing stands next to it.

Which bottle do I need and how long does it last?

The body takes a bottle up to 50 cm tall — 2, 5 or 8 kg. An 8 kg bottle burns for roughly 9–10 hours at full power, and considerably longer with a gentler flame.

Can I connect it myself?

Yes. The hose and regulator are already attached to the fire pit. Stand the bottle inside, screw the regulator onto it and you are ready to light it.

What if the wind picks up?

If the wind blows the flame out, a safety device shuts off the gas supply by itself. In a windy spot, give the fire pit the most sheltered corner you have.

Can it stay outside in winter?

Yes, the material withstands frost. When you are not using the fire pit, put the supplied cover over it.

Can I grill on it?

No. The fire pit is made for warmth and atmosphere — for food, stick to the grill.
