The COLUMBIA fire pit looks like a piece of rock – and so does its bottle cover. It hides the gas bottle inside a GFRC concrete body in a natural stone finish, so the hardware disappears and a second "stone" with a flat top for a glass or a book appears next to the fire.

A designer cover hides the bottle
Picture a summer evening: the fire is burning, the table is laid and nothing catches the eye in the wrong way. No orange bottle at your guests' feet, no hardware on show. Simply place the cover over the bottle and a necessity becomes another piece of garden furniture that matches your fire pit.
Place the cover about 1.2 metres from the fire pit; the standard 3-metre hose is long enough, and we can supply a longer one on request. With ELEMENTI tables the hose can even run through the hollow inside of the table, so it is barely visible.

Hard to tell from real stone
The sides carry the imprint of real rock – with bumps, breaks and darker and lighter patches, just like the COLUMBIA fire pit. The irregular shape looks natural, and among the plants, wood and stone of your garden the cover simply blends in.
The top is flat and smooth, so you can safely put down a glass, a small plate or a lamp. Each piece is cast by hand in a mould, so every cover is a small original.
Concrete that can take a lot
The body is glass-fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC). The fibres give it strength, so the walls can be thinner and the cover lighter than it would be in ordinary concrete – yet it still weighs 18 kg and the wind will not knock it over. The material withstands frost, rain and UV light, so the cover can stay outside all year.
The cover is a single piece without a lid: to change the bottle, simply lift it off and set it aside. To help the surface resist stains for longer, treat it with AKEMI Nano Effect.
